Well this guy I knew for a while has finally made his move and installed a turbo on his crx with a d16z6 swap. He pieced a home-made turbo using the CAI he already had as part of the piping.


So here's what's funny, yesterday I drove past his house and saw the car on jackstands and him under the car...so I pulled over and ask the guy what's going on...here's what he says "my turbo's not workin'"...this whole time the car is idling and you can hearsomething hissing under the hood...

Anyone wants to take a guess on what was making the hiss? :-D

did he forget the wastegate? is there a leak in the system itself?

 

Hell yeah there's a leak...but it a rather unusual one for a turbo system:-D
