Kerosene in a gas engine (not me, thankfully)
My roommate put kerosene in his gas tank because the pump was poorly marked, then he realized his mistake after 2 gallons and filled the rest of the tank up with unleaded. How bad is this gonna be for him? He had 2 gallons of gas left, added 2-2.5 gallons of kerosene, then filled the rest with gas. It's only an 8 gallon tank on a Geo Metro. (I would REALLY like him to be gone over Thanksgiving break because he's a tool, and I don't want him to be stuck here, 3 hours from home, because his car is screwed...) The question is, can he drive somewhat safely? Will it kill his car on the highway?
I read that the tank will have to be cleaned, lines cleaned, injectors cleaned, and fuel filter replaced. (This went unsaid anyways.)But will it kill his engine? Or will the thing drive for 200 miles?

it wont kill the motor , just drain out the gas tank , put some fresh gas in ,try to start & run it , it will run like crap & smoke like a mack truck , but after a while it will get better

Well, he didn't wait for replies. He decided to leave a couple of hours ago. I suppose I would have heard from him if he killed the engine. I'll pass the info along. Thanks!
