Yeah, I have had nothing but problems with my LG Shine with 3G technology. I'm on my 4th replacement phone.

 

What does assisted gps mean?

 

it uses cell tower triangulation to assist it.

 

Most areas don't even have AT&T's 3g service, so I don't see why all the hype. Not to be rude or anything, but I've heard at least 3 times in the last week that "OMGZZ Iphone 3g, I'm soo getting one". My state doesn't have AT&T's 3g network, so I really don't see a difference between this one and the original one?

 

For those Canadians on the forum - if you have cell service in your igloo, Rogers is announcing "Something really big coming July 11".... Hrmmmmmmm, that's a toughie - right after the launch of the iPhone 3G.

I've heard it's going to be $199.99 with a 3 year contract, or $299.99 with a 2 year, though I wasn't able to substantiate that on Rogers' website. Apple has kept them tight-lipped about a possible iPhone release in Canada.

I'm not sure if this is planned for Canada, but I was reading that Apple will not be selling the 3G online to crack down on software unlockers. You will have to go into the Apple store, buy one, and activate it on the spot.

I'm sure you'll still be able to find them on eBay though.
