I need to get this off of my chest, i just found out that i have an oil leak somewhere again i have to take it to the shop to get it fix. **** its going cost me $500 that could be for something else. urghhhhhhhh

 

That sucks hardcore, but if it makes you feel any better, I've got a story for you. A friend of mine bought a 98 Mustang GT and took it to Wal Mart for an oil change. They said that he needed a new drain plug, so he had them put one on. They used the wrong size and it backed out while he was driving. All the oil leaked out of the car and it seized up.

 

So are they going be responsible for any damages on his engine?

 

Yeah, I'm sure they are. Unless there's a loophole in the work order that you have to sign to have them perform the work.

 

Hope he get a whole new engine.

 

Are you using sytec oil or anything?? cuz syntec oil usually leak.

 

no im not using synthetic, that why its sad.

By the way why does synthetic leak?

 

Check to see if there is a washer with the drain plug and make sure the oil filter is tight. Also people usually put oil around the rim of the oil filter to prevent oil leak.

 

Syntec are suppose to be thinner so its easy for it to slide through the drain plug.

 

it was dripping out like something broke or something. Its at the shop right now. I will find out sometime tomorrow. I hate it when your car is out of commision.
