thanks.... I'm pretty excited about getting the bike tomorrow, but I'm nervous at the same time. I've never ridden a bike before, but you have to start somewhere, right? And I figure a cbr6 is just as good a first bike as any. Good luck convincing your parents... well, your mom at least (my mom still isn't very happy about me buying the bike lol)

and that episode was crazy... I cringed when the guy just walked up and kicked his bike over like it was nothing.. it's insane.

 

You should get some practice in on a dirt bike before you try riding the cbr, I learned on a dirt bike and now all motorcycles are easy enough to learn.

thanks... and 07, the only kid I know with a dirt bike uses it for racing (and it's his little baby lol) so I doubt he'd let me screw around with it... I figure I'll just go with some friends that have crotch rockets to the local school's bus parking lot and just practice riding around a little... I need to get my motorcycle permit first, though... I'll be testing for that this week sometime (I've read the book once, and I plan on reading it two or three more times before taking the test... I want to pass it my first try lol)

and windcalmer, when I borrow a friend's camera to get more bike pics tuesday, I'll throw on my r34 bumper and get those pics you wanted lol

Are you putting full coverage insurence on this bike?
If you have never rode a bike than you are going to lay it down. It's nothing like a bicycle. Turning is way different took me alittle to get used to it.

 

Congrats on the new bike. I would NEVER wear a used helmet but SHOEI makes good helmets (I have an RF-1000). Be safe, I can't even count how many close calls I've had in 1 year of riding.

I second that. I have close calls almost every day I ride. Just have to stay alert and watch those other drivers. My girl dont ride with me any more due to people pulling out in front of me. [:@]
