I was told by a teacher if they initiated the draft and any of his students was choosen to pretty much go and enlist into the airforce you get treated nicer there and stuff

Im a 0311 Marine.. A grunt that is on the ground in iraq..... I like this poll .... Well if you going to join because your scared to go to iraq then i wouldnt join any branch. If your a hard as and have some guts and dont mind puting some lead down range in to yard apes face then join the corp. If your not hard enough to join the corp then join the Navy. There corpsman are just as hard as us. Well other then that dont join. Airforce is more of a college life and ppl whjo just want benifits and dont wanna defend ****.. Dont care for them pretty much a bunch of pretty ****.........Army i work with them and thats all ill say.... We are all in it for the same reason So ........My suggestion is grow a pair and go put some lead down range. **** fun

well, while i don't agree with his post, the marines have other ways to get things besides "boats". they have cargo planes, naval ships, etc. not to mention the fighter jets, attack helicopters, and supply/transport helicopters. but i agree, we need all the branches. if we didn't, then the one we didn't need wouldn't exist. i have friends in all the branches, and family in most of them.
also about the air force not paying you more or other benefits..i disagree. it depends on your particular job..but i do know they have the biggest budget for housing and providing for their people. ever been to an air force base? compared to all the marine bases i've lived on and been to, and all of the army bases i've been on...the air force bases look MUCH nicer. i think i've only been to one naval base..wasn't as nice as the air force either.

**** you my brother in law has been in the Air Force for 12 years and my father is a 25 year vet of the Air Force. My father was involved in conflicts the U.S. government has still yet unveil to the public, has 2 busted ear drums because of taking on fire on a flight line in Grenada. If it were not for the Air Force you would not get supplies, you would not have air support, we would not have a national missle defense system, and you would have to travel by boat everywhere. Dont talk down on any branch of service, you have no right to and I could care less if you are serving or not. Dont hate because the people in the Air Force are trained to do different **** better than you, I mean sure you as one person can go out and shoot people with your little gun but people in the Air Force have the power to wipe whole cities off the map. Who was it that ended WW2? Sure as hell was not the Marines

How many F-16s have you flown? How many enemy fighters have you shot down? Flying jets is one of the hardest physical things to do. The forces are so strong they will make you lose conciousness.
I cant say any......I have shot down any enemy fights........Yeah it very phsically demanding... The forces are so strong.... Ok........ What are you getting at there......
So how many have you flown the dickwad....... Let me take a guess at how many you shot down.........thousands cause ur awsome......... Yeah im cut....... Ppl that arent in will never undertsnad..... I dont hate the air force or any other branch...... We are all in it for teh same reason........

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Coast Guard in part of the armed forces too. My dad is a navy chaplain and he has also worked with the Coast Guard and right now he is working with a marine air unit (even though he is still navy). Pretty much all of the forces need each other to work properly and protect are country, no one is better than the other so stop all this dumb arguing over which is better!
