well i guess you wouldn't say doubled, but increased... and in the oddest way everi removed my floor mats... i cleaned my car today and took out the floor mat... i stepped on the gas and it went about 2 inches farther to the floor then it did before... and boy what a difference, i wasw beginning to wonder why my car was so goddamn slow... my friends elantra was pulling away from me yesterday on the highway and i had it floored...i guess i will be having more fun on the highway now

so if anyone finds their car sluggish... check the floormat lol

 

interesting, my clutch will sometimes get caught in the floor mat but not the gas pedal.

 

i thought he was going to say that he removed about a 100 pounds of dirt from the inside and outside of his car, making his horspower to weight ratio greater... lol.

 

actually that happened to me too lol. From then on I would have to cxonstantly slide the mat down because it ket creeping up. I eventually went for rubber mats which look better and catch all the crap that would normally get smothered into the carpet.

 

Yea floor mats can be hazardous... they can block your brake pedal as well as your gas pedal. I dont use any at all.

yea they can be hazardous my floor mats got stuck on my aftermarket pedals rpms started climbin thank god i was on a quite road turned the motor off pulled over and yanked those mats out of there haven't used them since

 

probably the only good non-performance thing you can trade for out of a type-R are the floor mats. rubber bottomed floor mats.

 

Make me glad that mine are made the way they are. They have a hook on them to keep them from moving up. Gets aggravating when cleaning though. Hard to get back on the hook.
