Try going into "my computer", then "control Panel", then "sounds and multimedia", and check that the volume level is turned up, and everything that should be enabled is enabled.

If you look at the lower right hand corner of your computer screen you should see a lil speaker, double click that and make sure all your volume controls are on and not muted.
Heres a pic.

If that isnt the problem, try unplugging the speakers, rebooting the pc and then plugging the speakers back in, you may get a "Found New Hardware" just click next and have the PC find all the drivers automatically, the drivers should be in your C:\WINNT\system32\drivers folder just in case you need to specify. If they still dont work it could be either a sound card problem or your speakers just decided to die.

K, I did find the lil speaker in the bottom right but it looks nothing like the one of the pick you showed me. It is only one lil **** you can move up and down and it is all the way up and the mute box in the bottom of it is not checked.

BTW I had quite a rough time trying to close the volume window in your pic because it was actually a pic and not a window. I laughed at myself pretty hard when I finally figured it out.
