i have never met anyone from the forums...as for a group of friends centrally located who run the site, i have found that some of the worst run sites do this, and when you have a bunch of local buddies who are mods/admin, it turns the site bad.

I know of two inparticular, which are decent sized. one is a bit bigger than this one, one is smaller. they are both run by a group of friends. a while back, a friend of mine bought "performance cams" from one of the moderators. when he got them, he found that they were stock cams in a comp cams box. when he posted about it, and filed a complaint with the admin, they actually made jokes about it...and eventually banned him. at the smaller site in question, it is like this site, specific to one model. as time has gone on, none of the people who run the site own that model anymore, and they frequently bash the car...the site has REALLY gone downhill, and they dont run any programs like ROTM anymore, because none of them care, yet they wont make anyone outside of their little circle a moderator...

I know of a site like that, it gets so f'ing annoying...

It seems like we all know each other because we've been talking for so long. Hell, Remmy drove 1200 miles one way so that he could be at my wedding. I consider him a closer friend than some of the people I actually see on a daily/weekly basis. The only people I've met in person (so far) are Remmy, Aryiman, and a couple people I've sold stuff too that didn't stick around.

If this was a local forum, or we all at least lived close to each other, I have a feeling we'd be in each other's garages every flippin' day. I know my wife is thankful that that isn't the case, cause she'd probably never see me
