Default Home Theater Systems

Hey,

What do you guys recommend for home theater/surround sound? Probably buying from bestbuy.ca or futureshop.ca.

Thanks
Jeff

I got a Bose surround sound system and its great. I know Bose has this system that only has like 4 parts (2 speakers, sub, and the control system) even tho its only got 3 speakers, its extremely powerful and actully does give the effect of a surround sound system. and the speakers are small so they will save space as well. im not sure of the name of the system but ill post it once i find it. Sony systems are also very good and reliable.

found it!: 3ยท2ยท1 GS Series II DVD Home Entertainment System

Big budget: Denon receiver and cd/dvd player and some really nice Infinity speakers.

Medium budget: Harmon/Kardon receiver and cd/dvd player and some moderate Infinity speakers

Low budget: Sony receiver and cd/dvd player and JBL speakers.

Avoid all the above other than Harmon Kardon (sorry guys). Bose is crap. PERIOD. Avoid any "in box" home theater system.

Infinity and JBL are both made by Harmon Kardon... And, Denon has some really nice stuff... And, Sony has nice stuff for the price.

Not really much else to select from from BestBuy, is there?

But, definitely agree with ya about staying away from Bose... Over rated BIG and in turn over priced BIG.
