eh, no low-end, but for the price, its tempting. but EVO>STI. every mag that ive seen that compared them, the evo wins, except for the Evo FQ300 VS. the STI Spec C, which we wont get either for awhile, so that doesnt really matter. but it'd be damn hard to beat an Evo MR with anything out there, even for double the price. Evos are beasts. but, then again, im not a drag racer, so you straight-liners might see that extra 24 HP as too tempting, but ill stick with the slightly better handling and 4G63 of the EVO. even though i wont count on any warranty, its THAT bad *** of a car. i dont care about the warranty. well, i might be tempted by that new Supra they are rumoring about.

Yeah, that's true. The Evo trumps the STi in every test I've ever seen or heard of between the two. No only in straight line speed but also handling-wise. Plus, the 4G63 is a much better engine than the EJ25.

actually, the evo gsr (normal evo 8) is slightly slower in a straight line than the STI, but i dont care about straight lines unless they are followed by a high speed banked turn....

Just curious, but where did you find those numbers? Every magazine I get and article I have found says the opposite. I expect that they will vary some, but I'm just wondering.

Boosted B18B = Another not-so-good idea.
B18B's do fine with boost and can handle a good 300whp in stock trim tuned right.

As far as EVO vs STI,I have tested a EVO and it was nice but I love the lines of the STI but have not tested one out just yet.I do have to say I have tested out RSX's,350Z's,SRT4's,EVO,and a couple swaped hatch's and have to say that for the money the SRT4 was really shocking.I drove the SRT4(04) and it is noticably quicker than a WRX after like 40 or so mph but I dont know it's a big choice to make and I am looking at it from all perspective cause I'm not locked down to any certain brand of car.

very nice looking car.

However I would definitely suggest trading it towards and evo or sti (at the risk of angering some fellow civic owners ) . There is no substitute for a car built with performance in mind, and im sure you wouldnt be dissapointed with either of the two. The EVO is an unbelievable performance machine and so is the STI.
