Hey maybe you're right idk. i just heard it from my drivers ed teacher person. last week.
I was telling the story b/c i had a friend who died almost one year ago. He was going 92mph in a 55mph zone. being chased by the cops. he went to make a hard left turn onto a back road and hit a patch of gravel. He had been drinking. he didnt even know what happened. he had three friends i the car with. somehow he flew off of the road going through a gaurdrail. the ail went into the car and severed his hed and the passengers. the two in the backseat were severely injured at the scene. one is now a paraplegic, and the other died in surgery that night. Ok. i just dont want anyone here to have it happen to themselves. now there were two things that could have stopped this from even happening. one there should have been a designated driver. two, if you're drunk, you sure as **** dont drive. and if you do. you should know enough to not ****ing speed. i have been inebriated behind the wheel once and i knew what i was doing. i ran off the road once. i have never done it again. You see ppl think you can't control what you do when you're drunk. BULL****. You ****ing can. you just gotta think. or do not even get ****ed up in the first place. I have many more stories. Ok here you go. two years ago thanksgiving. my friend was coming over to my house on his crotch rocket. the dumbass was doing kneedrags hit a patch of gravel. and lost control of the bike flew off and down the side of the mountain on hwy 27. he never made it to my house and was found two days later, the day before thanksgiving. his bike hit a tree he hit a rock and the bike somehow wound up 200 yards away from him. yeah serioius velocity here. the last thing he said was when he told his mother, "mom, I'm going out I'll be back in a while, I love you." he didnt make it back, or to my house either. her's another one. about 5 months aho. i had some friends that were coming down the mountain after a basketball game. it was raining .and the idiots wanted to get down the mnountain quickly. he hit a puddle hydroplaned and flew off the road and hit the side of the mountain. one was killed three injured. the first story i told. his brother was killed almost a year and 6 months before him in a speed/alcohol related accident. that woman has one child left who just turned 16 and is headed down the same path. Californians drive like idiots imo.

 

I've seen data like that too but I don't just except it for face value any more. For instance in germany they have no speed limit on the autobahn and have fewer fatalities and fewer accidents per mile driven than any other country. It isn't speed that is the problem, the danger is in speed differential. Over driving your ability, weather conditions, trying to go faster than the flow of traffic when it's heavy,
poor maintenance of your vehicle are all more dangerous than just attributing driving to fast as the culprit. But you can ask anyone in this country what causes accidents and they'll say" oh yeah,speed kills!"
