I was wondering because I go to college in Philadelphia, and i can't see any of my New York Teams. Lately i have come upon the program Sopcast that lets me stream and watch any games airing on the tv for free. I am worried about the legality of this issue. I am under college internet, therefore every action of mine is being monitored. I have a friend of mine who had to go to court and was fined for downloading music illegally with these P2P sharing program AKA LimeWire.

So does anyone know if watching games in Sopcast is illegal or not?

Your friend must have stolen a lot of mp3 files in order to be caught and thrown to court for it. Martys right, you could look piracy up and try and get a complete definition of the meaning.
