I felt I ought to post this because I am extremely grateful to everyone that has helped me out with my questions. From the word go everyone on HCF has been extremely cool with helping me out and giving me their thoughts. Thank you.

When I go out driving to wherever, it upsets me how many looks I get from other import drivers, looking me up and down and mean-muggin' me. There is no love between us at all. HCF has been a huge breath of fresh air in that area. It's unbelievable how many people are willing to dispense with what they know to help another ricer on this forum.

I'm jealous of Mustang owners coz they have this kind of comeraderie. My buddy has one and when I ride with him I see the nods and stuff he gets from other Mustang owners. Same with people that have older VW Beetles. Why don't Civic owners do that? Maybe it's just a Bay Area, California thing. Pisses me off. I'm going to start driving around with a sign in my car that says "Nice ride" or something then hold it up to other tuners in an effort to lighten people up.

try and talk with a couple of the importers around town

me and two other people have civics that we just go around town with and down to ft wayne together

 

just when ever you pull up to another car at a stop light just look at them and say that they have a nice car to them

 

I just don't like civic drivers in my area...usually you can't even see them cuz they're almost laying down on the floor...doing the whole gangsta driving look...and each and every one of them thinks that their rain guttered 89 auto lx sedan (no offence to anybody here) is faster than anything ever put on the road

 

civic and small import car owners tend to be younger and cockier... installing an intake and thinking they are gods gift to the road. Mustang guys are usually a bit older and do most of their own engine work... putting go before show in most cases. Im a huge mustang guy but still love the import scene and that is my take on the whole thing. There are some out there who ruin it for everyone.

 

WORD. you beat me to it. every import owner i have ever known has been a ***** and think they are faster than everyone else and they usually want to prove it. and when they do and can't they get even more prickish when they win and the other does the same b/c he loses.

 

I think over time people in your city will get to know you and be nicer.Or your other friends will get imports and you can do the same thing to other people.
