I should point out that the near $4US, and that is a decent price right now, The next thread that i see that someone is complaining about gas prices i am just going to lock,

Investors want a gigantic rate of return on commodities futures and our gas guzzling economy plays right up to their expectations. Then they( the gas companies ) FN brag about making BILLIONS of PROFIT in one quarter!

Grab the butt cheeks and let them go at it! Our stupid state of CT has $. 25 / gal tax on gasoline. One politcal party suggested eliminating the tax over the Summer til Labor Day. The state has $850 million in surplus tax dollars. Eliminating the tax would "cost" the state $125 million in lost revenue. The other party says NO, because it wouldn't be fair to spend the bonanza money ONLY on people who have cars or use gasoline. Oh, you mean the ones with the jobs, that pay the taxes, that created the surplus in the first place? Yeah, that would be sooooo unfair! BS!!! Anyway, have a great day. I'm gonna go burn a few gallons of gas so I can get home!

Plus you have to remember that in Europe, half of that fuel price goes to taxes. In the US, the oil companies artificially raise gas prices, while proces per barell stay relatively constant.

 

I get the best gas mileage.[8D]

But i pay up the *** for bike tires.

 

im sorry i didnt want to start another tread about gas, and im not whinning about it. since i saw the other about not filling up on the 15th i thought you guys might know this. but well to give some opinion about europe, its true they pay like 6-7 dollars to fill up, but their cars also get like 50mpg STANDARD. here most cars get like 22 or something like that and if we talk about suv forget it. there in europe "big" cars get like 40mpg and suv get decent mpg. again im not complaining about gas money its not that big a deal

 

paying close to $5 per gallon in BC right now...I don't think it matters how high gas prices will go...people who need to get places will end up paying to buy gas no matter what...public transit is a joke in most places and who wants to sit on a bus for 3 hours for a 20 minute drive! bottom line is that we'll continue to pay for gas no matter how high the price goes...it's basic supply and demand principles

 

Economy is just getting more expensive and expensive as time goes on. Natural...Postage costs just went up from 39cents to 41 cents. Not a suprise. And the said rising gas prices was the main issue.
