Default Hardwiring a Radar Detector in a 6th Gen

Ive searched google for directions and pictures for how to hardwire a radar detector directly into the fuse box, but i can't find a DIY for a 6th gen, all ive found were 7th and 8th gen diys, anyways, i was wondering if anyone has done this in a 6th, and cound possibly give me some good instructions and pictures if you have them as im clueless about wiring.

Thanks you.

well easiest way to hardwire it is run the wires to the back of the cig lighter for the easiest thats how i had mine wired in....

best to take apart the cig lighter plug on the radar so you know for sure which wire is power and which is ground. at least thats how ive wired up mine in the last few vehicles.
you can wire it up to the fuse box if you really want to.
simply use a light tester to find a hot wire on the block that you can tap into that is only hot with the ignition turned on.

Sorry to tell you this, but you wasted your money. Police dont use radar anymore, they use lasers.

and now most "radar" detectors pick up laser, but they still call them radar detectors

well most radar detectors now detect laser as well

tho a radar doesnt not mean you will not get a ticket...
alot of cops now adays turn them OFF and then ON when your in range. thats how they suprise ya!
only way to get away is with a jammer but those are highly illegal.LOL

a radar is not fool proof but it does help ya sometimes
i gotta have one in my vehicles. with the detector and a eye out you can keep from getting most tickets!

jammers are nice BUT for the price you pay for them.... afew tickets might be cheaper.LOL

plus jammers maybe effective BUT you know the cop will know you have a jammer and then just start following you until they get you doing something wrong and have a reason to pull you over and simply find that jammer and then REALLY TICKET YOUR @SS since they are illegal!

hell radar detectors are illegal in some states already....

You shouldnt have any reason for needing a "radar" detector
