Okay, so I am a former ford fan that has been converted to Honda, AMEN! But thats not the point of this post. I was changing my oil in my civic this weekend,(it was up on jackstands) and my neighbor who owns a 99-04 Mustang Gt thought I was modding my car so he was showing his machoman powers by revving up his motor in his driveway and staring over at me. I am not into streetracing anymore but it kinda ticked me a little bit. Sooooo since I had my garage open my sweet R6 was just sitting there... I cranked her up and gave her a couple of throttle pumps, (it was loud enough my wife came out into the garage screaming at me) needless to say the mustang dude looked over threw his arms up, turned off his car, and went back inside shaking his head in defeat... still though, not the point of this story... as we have civics we know about ricers and the ugly things that they do to very nice rides (thus making them affordable to buy once they blow them up)... which leads me to the point of this story and I will post pics when I catch him not at his car...

Oh god... I can't wait to see these pics. I've noticed (around me, anyway) that it's always the GT's that are riced out... the sixers are usually tastefully modified around here. I should try to see if I can't get a picture of my friend Lennon's car.... a red new-edge GT with chrome projectors, altezzas, and a vascious body kit. And to top it all off, it's an automatic.

well running the wire isnt really dangerous only dangerous if he didnt fuse next to the battery its funny at least.....

 

I didnt see fuse link when he was putting it on... and whats even scarier is that I see cars with hoods popped over there all the time like he is giving advice ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

 

Its always the older bubbly ones around me that are riced out (GT's) I wish that I had pix of my 02 v6 reaper you would have loved it... it was all done right and had over 15k in stereo equipment alone, 3k invested in body, and 2k invested in performance, I got all the stuff cheap when I worked at cc back in the day 02' bough it brand new... cobra R front shelf, whole car was black, de badged, all black and stalky...17' 5 star factory gt 275/40/17 tires/wheels, factory gt dual (removed from GT) with raven exhaust(sounded much better than flows) and soooooo much more...

 

wel if he didnt fuse it at least you could say that could be a case of natural selection when it burns up.

 

Am I responsible because I didnt offer to help and I am/was a pro installer?... hmmm... nahh, he will learn when he comes out to his car and its a pile of ashes + thats what forums are for +I dont speak rice anyway

well if his car catches fire it will fire up right after he gets in or out of the car door. if it slices on anything it will be pinched in the door hinges and instantly start smoking and then start to burn from the battery to the short and then spreading all over the motor.
