No way, the Skyline owns the Supra and the NSX mainly because of the AWD. Out on a track those cars would not even be in the competition for the skyline.


BTW I am only speaking of the GTR.

Ah, not true. A GTR will own a Supra on any track, straight or otherwise. Stock for stock, an R34 slips about a 13 second 1/4 (with an average driver) while a MKIV runs about 1.2 seconds slower. And the R33 and R32 are even faster due to their lighter wieghts (and older). NSX's are balanced quite a bit better, so they can hang with a GTR significantly better, but the AWD still gives it the advantage in the end.

i personally prefer the R34 styling over the others mentioned. although i do really like the last gen of supras. doesnt TRD supposedly have an AWD supra concept in the works for 2007ish?

No doubt it can be done, but can you build a Civic that'll outrun a 350 hp 'Busa? Don't think so. I'm a fan of the R34 styling as well, and the R33's almost equally so.

Plus, the RB26 IS the greatest engine ever created.

 

yeah, it was built by a pissed off owner of Signal Auto in Japan after he lost to Steph Papadakis' civic at a drag event. he figured if america could build a civic that would beat his Skyline drag racing, he could build one to beat them at the road racing.


oh, and btw, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! overratted? that isnt just an R-34 guys. thats a Z-tune if im not mistaken. i do believe ANY car would be hard pressed to hang with that in just about any race you can think of. it ran the fastest production numbers ever. 10.06 400m. and is hand built by the guys at Nismo. to dominate anything.

and bikes are only as fast as the rider, where a great car can make a decent driver look like a god. so its possible to build a civic that could beat one, if the driver of the 'Busa was sub-par. and everyone needs to get their heads out of the straight-line gutter. Kappa and Leviii can appreciate that.
