they had high morale and they didnt need money...they were fighting for their rights and land. and davis was practically forced into the position, if the confederates succeeded there would have been a real election and they would have gotten a real president
They didn't need money? What did they plan to attack the North with thier morale or hopes and dreams? War costs money, nobody wanted to give the South any money. They tried Europe, but since Europe has already abolished slavery, no1 wanted a peice of that pie. They couldn't trade with any1, Northern blockades. Hopes and dreams won't win wars.

although I'm not too fond of free masons - the two greatest americans are thomas jefferson and alexander hamilton, needless to say why.
