yeah when i was in iowa, i had my car sitting at the gas station, and i ran inside to grab something... and just left my car running with the system on ( have a 520 watt amp, and 2 10' mtx subs), and it wasnt loud at all... i come back out and there is a cop waiting by my car for me. He proceeds to tell me that the town has a "loud sound ordinance" and that if my stereo can be heard from over 50 feet away i can get a ticket for it... which is completely rediculous. 50 feet away? i could hum and that could be heard 50 feet away...

 

yeah they r starting that here too, i got pulled over in my old rsx-s because he thought i had an aftermarket exhaust(dumb bastard found out it was stock and let me go though) lol

 

Dont worry. I got pulled over for my tint in the backwoods of Arizona Last summer. The cop comes up with his tint thingy, measures my tint at 18% and says its illegal.

I said......"do you really have this much time?" Seriuosly.

 

To which he responded?

If you drive that way almost everyday for over a year and you didn't figure out that it was a school zone yet?

As for the not stock = illegal, most brand name aftermarket things are 50 state legal. The cop was just busting your *****, he didn't write those tickets because he can't. If he does anyway then take the tickets to court and you will not have to pay them.
If the cop wants to bea dick he can give u a ticket for 1mph over the limit ANYWHERE

well the whole ticket thing is gay but i have a Q for everyone who has it....how do u pass inspections with 20% tint if it is illegal???? this has always mind boggled me!!!

in cal you can't get a ticket for an intake right? I mean...unless illegal but...
and in school zones, the speed limit should be less than 55, I remember in driving class that you should go like 25 or something...
