I got pulled over this morning on my way to work. For no reason, she just pulled me over. I wasnt speeding or anything. She gets to my passenger side window and asks to see my registration and licence. So I gave it to her. Then she says, "Roll your window up." When I roll it back down, she says, "Where's your sticker?". I was like, "What sticker?". She says you have to have a sticker by the company that installed the tint. I never did ask why. So I asked her if I went to a company and got a sticker would I be ok, and she said no, I would have to have it re-done. This is BS. Why pay someone to do this when my friends can do it for me?? This does not seem fair to me...So now my tint is illegal because I don't have a sticker on my glass. ?? I guess there's nothing I can do. Damn goverment...always gotta stick it to ya somehow...oh well....

 

jeez, man that blows. you can buy a sticker from anywhere most of the time. i payed 25$ for the sticker b/c the guy who did mine like was liscenced through precision tint and i got 15 on mine and they wouldn't let him give me asticker so he told me to go to auto glass and they would give me on e for 25$. damn. she soiunds like a bitch. she's probably just on her period.

I got 15% on mine too. When you say auto glass, you mean any auto glass place that sells windshields and stuff?

 

yeah autogalss of knoxville. apparemtly he had a friend who had the sticker that worked there .he told me to go some guiy name Josh. So i did. and he asked for 25 bucks and gave me s ticker and told me to ut it on the passenger side and place it in the lower left corner from the outside byut put it on the inside. so that wuold be the lower right side from the inside.

Chaseman, sorry to hear you got pulled over. Where/when did you have the tint installed? I suggest finding out what the laws are where you live, since 94 Civic Ex isn't even in the same state as you. And you didn't say, did you actually get a ticket for it??

 

no, i didn't get a ticket. i got lucky with that part. Still sux though...I got mine done about 3 weeks ago. I don't get it. I had the same tint on my civ, and nobody bothered me. But 3 weeks into getting it on this one and I get pulled...talk about luck. I don't want a damn sticker on my window. Looks tacky as hell. I'll figure something out. I know one thing, that tint is staying where it is. It's not coming off. I don't know about the other tint laws...but mine here aren't too strict, that's why I'm wondering why I got pulled...if I'm not mistaken, I think 35% in as dark as you can go...but come on, 35%!! thats nothing...I'll get around it somehow...still mad about it though...

 

a sticker for your tint[&:][&:][&:] thats the first time i have ever heard of that..i no some people with limo tint all around and they never have got in any trouble..up here i dont think cops really care about tint..i think they have it through there heads thats theres more important things like drunk drivers

Hey man, if you need a sticker, let me know. I'll just put fake company info (Co. Name, Phone #, etc) on one of my clear labels and you can put that on there.
