ok check this out, i got a gig at this huge house party on st pattys, (im a dj if you didnt know) im really still an ameture as far as shows go.... but i need a little help this time.
this thing is going to be huge, im going to get alot of rep for this one.
the only thing is, its going to be a 70's theam so lots and lots of disco and remixes. now i have herd that disco is pretty much the easiest and most basic **** to spin. but i need a little help with the playlist.

I dont know what music you can play for 70s' themes but i know your going to rock that party regardless.

 

I'm really not up on the 70's but doesn't 50 cent have a song disco inferno or something of that nature?.. Could mix that with something that's actually disco.

but im having a load of truble with a playlist. trance is my forte'. it doent have to be strickly 70's it can be early or mid 80's too... i just want to stay away from new-wave.

If I was you id just spin your trance rather than that 70's music (probably wouldnt go down to well though). When I first started out dj'ing it was tough to get gigs but I refused to compromise on my music and played what I wanted to play, and in the end I got there.

 

^ yeah im going to end up spinning some trance and house but i want to try to keep to the 70's theam as best as i can. i have found alot of crowd pleasing **** in the past 20 min. lol. but this thing is going to be huge and im going to be getting a huge amount of exposure from this.

I used to play hardhouse, not sure if it is big in the states, but over here it was big (still is kind of). I got to play in packed clubs in loads of diff cities all over the place, I also ran my own hardhouse/funky house club nights with a friend it was great, got loads of promo records and stuff and never had to pay to get into any clubs when I went out.
