it's a free world. he can buy what he wants, drive what he wants, pay for what he wants.

he can also LEAVE and go to the scion forums, where, SURPRISE, they have problems/troubleshooting threads also...

ive driven an xB before. i had a teacher who also taught at the community highschool that happens to be on the same campus as my highschool. he teaches an occasional class at th edrivers training program running out of there. i had to stick back after school to finish a test once for him and he asked if i could help get some cars over to the student parking lot because he had a lot of kids who had to drive on the course. this drivers training company has about 4 xBs, a grand prix, and a trans am. i got to drive 2 of the xB's and the trans am. the xB is actually a pretty nice car. its by no means a performer...but its a good car especially for its target audience (teens and under-grad students). it would be very good for a first car. very simple and easy to drive.

+1 on the xb's being roomy, my friend who owns one is about 6'3" and still has tons of head/leg room. they can look great and run pretty well for a box. def. a good car for teens, just a fun car for daily driving IMO. but def. not a good track car since areodynamics suck and low hp..

here are a few pics i got of my buddies xb, gotta love the toaster power sticker
