GM Providing Test drive of Accords and Camerys
Well it seems that GM will be letting customers test drive Toyota Camery's and Honda Accords at their dealerships now, so they can give a first hand look at what they are like compared to the Saturn Aura.... Bad move GM... may as well shut down now and take a different stratagy lol

But really, how could any1 be that stupid? It makes me think that there might actually be something to this Aura. Although common sense tells me otherwise. Either way its a 4 door grocery getter so I don't really care.

Funny how people can pass judgement on a car they have never driven. I think I am going to start talking **** at random about cars I have never been in, seems like the fun thing to do on internet forums now days.

Marty is completely right about them going through a transformation lately. The aura has been proven to be a great car many times over and it has won comparos against the accord and camry in more than one auto magazine comparo. Not saying I would pick it, but don't be in too much of a hurry to throw it in the trash.

Yeah, it think there is something to be said that Saturn is so confident in their new Aura that they are bringing in very respected cars like the Camry and the Accord. This Aura may just be a better car. But alas, Saturn's unfavorable past record would make me hesitant and I would need more longitudinal studies on this new car to see if it can last long as the Camry and Accord are know too be able to do. This car could be excellent new, but what about 10 years down the road (literally)? Is this going to continue the Saturn tradition of being a p.o.s. or is it going to add its name among the 200,000+ mile cars like Toyotas and Honda?

I dont know if it is a good car or not but it did win the car of the year award. Also given about a years time the Sky will be the oldest design/chassis that Saturn is putting on their lots so that to me says something. Not discounting the heavy hitters such as the Accord and Camry but just because they have been the best does not in any way say they will continue to be. That plus Honda has a really bad track record about putting a award winning car on the market and letting the model cycle run stale before redesigning it and to tell the truth a base model Camry feels, drives, and looks like a cheap *** rental car. In this day and age it would be nice for people to atleast venture into showrooms of American car companies to atleast add them to the options of cars to check out. I know that there are Honda factories along with Yota, Mazda, and Nissan factories in North America/United States but the least people can do is not kick dirt in American companies eyes before even seeing what they have to offer. This goes for Ford, GM, and Dodge. Dont read to much into these mag's that continue to dis credit American auto companies and dont continue to think it is 1990 as far as quality, performance, reliability, and sheer enjoyment of the products these companies make. Go out and see for yourself before passing judgement, afterall how many times you see a Honda dealer that has a new Miata for you to test against it's S2000 or how many Suby dealers have new EVO's for you to test against it's STi?
