Default Gettin a lil off topic.. pleh help?

Getting waayyy off car topics here. I just spent hours figuring out what this skin condition on my chest is. Turns out I have tinea versicolor. And I must admit, I wouldn't wish this annoying stuff on anyone. Its basicly spots on my chest that become very very ichy when I get hot. . . . and its summer. I don't have AC. Yeah, you can only imagine my pain.

My reason for post, I want to see what you all can dig up on how to cure this. As far as I've found, I'd have to go to a doctor to get the freakin treatment. I cant seem to find anything over-the-counter that would work. But, Im not use to looking for this kinda stuff, and don't really know how to. So if any of you are able to help, I'd love you forever.. =) Might even tattoo your . . . nah.. not goina go that far.. =P

The Chinese food restaurant had no Chinese. Just Mexican employees. Which was kinda odd. But they gave me an egg roll and told me to go away. No joke.
And I've never been to a free clinic. Don't even know where one would be. Guess I need to make some calls and fine one eh?

tinea versicolor... hm. Tinea is a fungus. Other members of that family include the fungi that cause athlete's foot and jock itch. I'm no medical professional, but I'd say go grab an OTC antifungal agent. Lotrimin, or (forgive me) BOOM! Tough actin' Tinactin'll get rid of it. There are spray powders and creams. Try one of those? If you're SURE that's what it is?

Yeah, I'm sure thats what it is. My roomie is a certified nurse aid and thought thats what it was. So i visited my friends grandmother whom is a nurse, and she said thats what it looked like. She took pictures and asked her doctor friend who said it seems to be it. So I looked it up online and it matches me to the T.
From what I've read, I'll need a pretty strong antifungal creme, that is not offered OTC. =/ I may just try the atheltetes foot spray. Couldn't hurt.

And hereditary it is not. Its something that anyone can catch. Its passed in the air. Most are immune, others are not. Usually caught in teen or early adulthood years.

All I can say is go for the "extra strength" or "maximum strength" stuff. It won't go away overnight. Gotta stay vigilant, use it twice a day every day for a week. If it looks like its going away, don't stop. Good luck with that.

So I found out today that I MUST have a pill. Since the fungi is internal, none of the above mentioned ideas will work. I guess i've gotta find a free clinic, and a ride to it.. =/

Damn fungi!

Nah, she cant write prescriptions . And none of the Dr. in her office are that cool.
Free clinic it must be. Now to steal the lil kid down the streets bike. I think I'm like 5 miles away from it. Motorcycle is destroyed, and sold my hatch. And my truck's tags expired and insurance is not up todate, so i'm not driving it. Bah. Life.
