Since his purchase is a done deal, you guys are just wasting your breath. Here is a link to public proxy servers that can bypass website blocks put in place by parental controls, the local library, or the military. I have to believe the men in uniform are aware of them. If you use them no one will be able to trace your activity. Some of them are private, some are universities, some are public.

But the thing is they also might block sites with the word proxy in it. Thats what they do at my school so i have found proxies that dont even look like on . Such has.. www.sneakysir.com or www.theless.net/google/funny.html

I guess you folks don't understand proxies very well. Many colleges provide this as a service to their students. UCLA for one has it right on the home page for the students to use. It is also a way to provide a method for folks in repressive countries like China to visit the net. Since all you have to do is Google "proxies" I don't think I am giving away any big secrets here. Public proxies are out there by the thousands. They are a good way to keep viruses and malware off your computer when you cruise the internet. Sincethe websitegoes through a server before it gets to you,the serverfilters out the bad stuff before you see it. Proxies also keep you anonymous so you don't recieve spam after visiting a site.

Once again I am surprised at the low level of computer knowledge of the people on this forum. Instead of hanging out all day on the Civic forum, try going to annoyances.org or avast.forum.com (and others) and learn something about computer security.

You missed my point completely. Obviously , with the advent of the Internet, information is everywhere. No big dark secrets were revealed that's for sure. However, having information exist and steering people, especially young people, to the source, for the purpose of deceiving or pulling one off, is questionable. No top secret information will be comprimised but you might as well give a tutorial on spoofing or other related topics. Oh yeah, I get paid rather well, specifically formy computer knowledge, and have been a certified and licensed electrical engineer for 30 years with major telecom players. You don't have to tell everyone everything. Let them find it out for themselves.
