gas prices are funny. i live by o'hare airport and all gas stations around here are like +$3.00. then when you go to the next suburbs gas prices are around $2.70. i dont know why but it's been like that for a while.

Tis a load of BS.... I only paid 15-20 to fill up last winter, but now its $30+..... This might make a few people mad but the damn tree huggers dont want any more refineries built. There is plenty of supply but not enough places to refine. And taxes yea i know.

It's not the fact of the gas prices it's the fact that the government won't do anything about it! When you have a Vice President and a President that are OIL Bitches you think any help is going to come out way?

Talk about not making sense.... I live in Green Bay WI where the fuel tank farms are, 30 miles down the road is Appleton. All of Appleton's fuel comes from the tank farms here in Green Bay. When I go down to Appleton the gas is CHEAPER, but it's trucked farther!

In all honesty, we are lucky to have the gas prices we do. I mean look at europe's prices because of the taxx on gas. Most people don't agree with me, but I wish we had started taxing gas 20 years ago with incremental increases every year. By now, we would have much better mileage cars, with more oil left, and less damage to the environment.
i agree with you about looking at europe. they've been paying much more for gas for much longer. not quite sure if you mean "better mileage cars" as in more efficient cars or little econoboxes? i think we'd be a lot more like europe in that we'd be driving much smaller cars. only someone with plenty of money would be driving a 7 liter v8.
