You guys, seriously, keep your fingers crossed, rub your buddha, pray, or do whatever you do for ElFreaky. He is right in the wheelhouse of Hurricane Katrina. I know that hurricanes are an afterthought for most of you but the President has declared a state of emergancey for Louisiana and it looks like this bitch means business. It's a catergory 5 with sustained winds of 190mph. That's some serious horsepower.

I have the next two days off of work becasue it's so bad. They are saying for us to be prepared to be without power for a week or more. I think it is a mandatory evacuation for N.O. If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the weather channel.

Yeah, that projected path thing... that's where I live.

yeah, my wife was reading just a minute ago that "Nawlens" might be done for after this. they say it could end up as a 30 foot deep puddle of toxic waste water. get out of there guys, and stay safe.

 

Well, we thought it was gonna turn east or north, but nope. It's headed right for us. We are gonna try to ride it out but they are saying this is the worst storm .... ever.

New Orleans is done for. The whole city sits below sea level anyway. It will take them months to pump out all of the water.

"Nawlens" is just the tip of things. I read a water swell of 30 plus feet is supposed to be shot up the Mississippi River if it keeps on with its current trajectory and power. The flooding upstream from that will be unreal. Good luck to all of you in that region.

i hope you dont get it to bad...i was watching the weather and it just amazez me on all the damage that happens,im glad nothing like that happins over here

 

I hope none of our members (I can only hope noone at all) will get hurt over there...

 

I had to work through and IN hurricane Isabel so I know whats it like but not as bad as this one so everyone in its path is in my prayers

 

my prayers go out to you guys in that area. hopefully i would think my house on the missispi is far enough up north that i won't see any flooding
