took it with a grain of salt. both my buddy and my girlfriend were betting that i would cry, but i was talking to them for most of the time and my eyes never got misty. i'll be honest though, hurts like a bitch at first

 

from what i hear, on the fleshy parts it doesnt hurt much, its when you get to a part on your body where theres not much tissue over your bone that it hurts.

my friends cousins first tatoo would take a real man to get. he got lyrics to an entire Tool song on his back...lateralus...for you Tool fans, you know how long that song is. for you not tool fans...its almost 10 minutes :P the interludeish part is only 3 mins long. so thats 7 minutes worth of lyrics. kinda long if you ask me :P

for MY first tatoo (my friends and i are all huge tool fans, so...) theres an eye on the back of their cd with two pupils in it...their guitarist is a modern artist (art school for 5 years or something like that) and its possibly one of the coolest things ive ever seen. i have a shirt with it on the back and i always thought itd be sweet if i could get it tatood on my back. but it prolly wont be my first one.
