FINALLY GOT THE KEYS!!!!!!!!
My wife and I closed on our first home yesterday and are officially homeowners!! (or homo-ners as Forty put it) Looks like HCF members are coming up! NEway, it's everything we wanted in a starter home. 3bd 2bth 2 car garage. Brand new, just built in 2005 'bout 15 minutes out of town in the country. We really didn't want to be in a cookie cutter neighborhood where you can jump from one roof to another, and this happens to be a new developing area with half acre lots each home!! Makes for nice sized back yard. This is truly an answer to prayer because we did not expect to find a deal like this. To top it off, at closing the lender made a few last minute changes that required the builder to pay us $1900!!!! The lender allows the seller to pay up to $7500 in closing costs and since the total costs were only $5600, an addendum was made where he has to give us what's left. He can't actually give us the money, so we submit an invoice and he writes a check for it. Hello new furniture!!!! [8D]
Here are a few pics, didn't get a chance to take a lot, battery was dying on my camera. Anywho... the trees add a lot, it will be real nice in the spring when everything is green... And I am loving the two car garage, the Civic will finally have a nice place to rest and I can hook up my rotary and DA polishers... I was playing with the garage door opener last night, didn't know opening and closing a garage could be so much fun!!!
There is granite throughout the entire home in both bathrooms and all the trim/moulding and woodwork is maple with pecan finish. We ordered wood blinds to match...
We are truly grateful and feel so blessed. God supplied above and beyond what we could ask or imagine.

RE: FINALLY GOT THE KEYS!!!!!!!!
Thanks fellas! I just can't stop grinning. My camera batteries are fully charged now so I'll get a few more pics up in a few days. Remmy, we had some money set aside for furniture so we're gonna use that for a few other things and use the $1900 as a huge downpayment on a new bedroom suite and living room furniture. We already have washer dryer and my brother is giving us a fridge. The home is heated by propane so we'll have to get the tank filled. ($200) We're not actually moving in until our blinds get in next week. I can't sit in a house with no blinds, that is just ghetto. Now we're trying to decide whether to go with black or chocolate for the entry door and some matching board and pattern shutters. I think that will really set it off! Lowe's has a really nice steel door with decorative glass for like $300 Black door Looking forward to buying plants, pictures and other accents. I wouldn't mind coming into like $5000 lump sum. I think that would just about do it. Ok, now back to reality...
