Totally agree tho lol. I remeber watching, and btw i did NOT got to the cinema for this one. I simply watched it wena friend got it on DVD, I knew as soon as I saw the main look of the cars and the general "chit Chat" that it was going to spawn so many "RICERS" out there. I remeber when i but my first big exhaust on, it wasnt anything fancie but it did the works, every1 looked at me like i was a idiot or sumthing driving down the road, but after FF every1 started getting these mods.

DAMN U FF!!
thats exactly how i felt when rock hit the mainstream this year. ive been listening to rock since i was born...and i used to get picked on and beat up for it...and this one girl who used to pick on me for listening to rock is now wearing a tshirt of (one of) my favorite bands every other day....yeah...i know what its like

the first one was 10x better than the second one i think. it actually had some what of a story and the second one didnt have anything to do with the first except him moving to miami.

nos is qute flammable..or it would kill your engine
No, N2O is NOT flammable. its an oxidizer, so it promotes the combustion, but its not the fuel for the fire. gasoline burns at a ratio of 14.7:1 and the oxygen in the nitrous allows you to burn more fuel. thats whats actually flammable, the fuel. if you have a balloon full of nitro, and you hold a flame to it, it will pop the balloon, but you wont get a huge flameball. you need the extra fuel there to get the burn.

Good God man, you're like a library of car information. You're new name is HAL. About the movie though, I have to say if someone gave it to me I'd keep it for one part that I previously forgot about. The best part of the movie is when Tyrese is running his yap and reving the Eclipses engine and "Fabio" looks over with a slight grin and revs his. That Challenger's engine sounds like a lion roaring compared to the buzzing bee Eclipse. "You're engine isn't as big as your mouth" <----------------best line of the movie. The Challenger also wins which makes it that much better because I hate Tyrese and his B.S. singing in the rain music videos.

"I will tell you what aggravates me more than kids who APC their car to death- the credit card racers. The guys who drive a brand new $20k Si into a performance shop and drive an 11 second car out and all of the sudden they are Vin friggin' Deisel. Don't you think the kids who put APC or whatever on their car would rather have a EVO2 or AEM?" - street sniper

come on street sniper dont hate on those fortunate enough to do what anyone one of us wish we could do. granted, some of us would save the money for labor and do it ourselves out of pure enjoyment of tuning. but.... you dont know how hard that person worked to get that 20,000 civic and drop it off at the shop to get tuned. for instance my partner Sang and is black ac integ-e-ra. he has a pimp ride, he paid for it all himself (hard earned money i assure you, if not earned by risky means), but he dropped it off at a shop and drove out with an 11 second car. he did this cause he doesnt know how to work on it and didnt want to deal with the frustration of figuring out. he wanted the enjoyment of driving at the track and stuntin around town. enough on that

kudos to sacicons for bringing up the point about nitrous. most definitely not flamable.

oh and if you think fatf is bad... try to watch torque. what a great film. a guy does a flip on a jet bike at like 200mph + then lands it and keeps going and weaving through traffic never bothering to slow down. it could happen. in another scene a guy jumps his bike on top of a speeding train, followed by ice cube who expertly executes the jump / landing as well. they then continue in a high speed chase on top of the speeding train no less, at one point swerving to a stop between two of the train cars, burning out 180 style and entering the cabin with tire burning and continue the chase through the train this time.

finally i want to end by saying: vin diesel is my hero, he truly is too fast and too furious or something, right?

Let me ask you this- some kid cuts grass all summer or flips burgers while he goes to school to buy the Civic that he has always wanted
*ehem* such as myself. i can see what you're saying, but at least hes trying to improve his performance as opposed to plastering his car with "NOS" stickers because he saw it in a movie. kids that genuinly want to improve their cars for love of the hobby instead of because its the "hella tight" thing to do right now are what will keep the industry alive in the future. companies may be making $ from the movie, but only because it is a fad to those who weren't devoted to the hobby in the first place. and the problem with fads is that they die out.
(btw, as remmy said, don't take this as a personal attack. we're just explaining why the movies no good)
word mossy. i got the ebay thing goin on in my ride too. i aint ashamed. just gonna upgrade to the better part as each ebay part falls a-part. ha ha. anyway this is my first shot at tuning dont know everything so why buy expensive for experimentation. i am gonna buy the cheaper parts to get to my end point quicker while learning along the way. trial and error, ya know.

Man, went to the local car show yesterday and what did I see, a CHALLENGER! With a 489 cc engine and dyno tested at 650 hp, that thing was off the hook.

You wanna know the funny thing guys?

Paul Walker has enough money to buy a turbo'd Prelude (if you have the DVD its a Bonus Scene that's supposed to be him driving from Cali to Miami) and then buy Skyline and fully hook it up, but yet he wears the same CONVERSE ALL STARS THROUGH THE ENTIRE MOVIE.
