Fed Up
I think I just decided to take all the **** off of my car today. Amonst other things that have been going on with me that I don't see a need to post due to lack of anyone careing... lol my car is giving up on me also. Last week my rear bumper got ripped off because of a new place I had to park because I used to park at an elm. school and ride the bus to my highscholl but they didn't like me parking there anymore so I had to find a new place. I guess that is what I get for spending my money on my car instead of drugs and trying to go to school everyday. Also my timing belt andalternator belt need changed and I am not allowed under my car when my parents are not home (gone all week) and my radiator fan will not turn on and I'm not plain not in the mood to mess with it lately even though I have made a post and some people have helped me troubleshoot. (I should have the problem figured out as soon as I calm down enough to work on my car) ,Today I woke up late so I missed first period and had to drive to school, I get about 1/2 mile away from my house and I realize that my car is handling hella weird and not responding well when I turn the wheel so I pull over... flat tire. Great.[:@] I don't have anyone home all week to come and help me fix it so I turn around and drive back home on a flat then take my grandmothers car to school which is where I am now. I think I am just going to sell my 18" rims, body kit, spoiler, and z3 fenders and do a 99-00 front end conversion, lip kit, some smaller rims, and maybe an Si spoiler. (I already sold my lambo door kit a few weeks ago) I just am really sick having to baby my car and never being able to drive it. I have about $1,300 that I was going to use to buy an exhaust and nitrous kit but I hope that will be enough to de-rice my car instead. What do you guys think?

RE: Fed Up
I have fixed thisrim about 3 times and replaced the tire on it once, it is just too damn big for a civic so I have bent it on wv roads a few times and the rim refuses to seal back up all the way. That is why I just want smaller rims so I don't have to worry about it anymore. If I buy new rims and tired I will buy 5 so I can keep a spare and a compressor with me.

RE: Fed Up
^ you gotta do that every now and then
i think if you wanna do the lip/SI spoiler/smaller wheels, go ahead, but i dont think you TOTALLY cut it down to clean, maybe 16"s or 17"s, a more aggressive lip, and keep the fenders. The SI spoiler is for sure a good idea though. Idk man, we all say it again and again do your own thing, so in the end if you wanna take all the **** off, go ahead.

RE: Fed Up
Um my dad beat the **** out of the rim witha sledgehammer the first time and ****ed up the paint, it looks round now so I can't find a real leak aside from putting water over the rim while there is air pressure in the tire, I saw a few leaks the last time but they were not were the bend was, so basically a few places just refuse to reseal all the way because I drove on a flat for too long.

Well, here's the deal. This method is not accepted by National businesses like Tires Plus or Midas, but it works. Get some ATV sealant from the store. I suggest high-temp and clear sealant. Oh, you should find the sealant in the automotive section.
Deflate the tire with the bent rim.
With some kind of prying bar, bend the tire back, off of the bead.
Squeeze the sealant onto the area where the bend is and extend the sealant 4-5 inches further than the bend.
The more sealant you use then better.
Wait about 4-5 mintues and fill the tire up a little bit, maybe half.
Wait for about half of the setup time that is written on the sealant tube, and then fill the tire up some more, but not all the way.
Wait a day or two and then fill the tire up to what you normally have it at. Check for leaks.
That should do it!
