You know little about the webz, sir. Yahoo started YEARS before google. Yahoo was the first search engine for other websites. Yes, it did have a lot of social things after a while. But this not how it started.

yahoo wasnt the first site with a search engine, google was the first "popular" search engine ONLY site... no one went to yahoo to search, everyone went to yahoo to check mail, games, news, and such.. im not saying google was first, im saying google set the trend for a search only website

I remember when yahoo! had mail, an instant messenger, and a search engine; nothing else. Back in the day, yahoo was a quite popular search engine, then google became popular. And what about ask.com (originally askjeeves.com)? It was around for quite some time before anyone had even heard of google. And what of altavista.com? That's been around since I was in middle school.

Face it, most of the members arguing against you are older, and we know what we're talking about.

I remember using Lycos for YEARS before google came out. I even stuck with it for a couple years after it had come out. In fact I think theres probably a thread about it floating around here somewhere...

lol im just saying that google paved the way for search engine sites, half of the search sites use google.. if you look, it will say powered by google lol. anyhow it dont matter.. srsly, if im wrong, im wrong, oh well lol...
