Okay so I am guessing you have the 6.0L right? Well I had to put an exhaust on the 7.3 which is pretty tight well from what I have herd the 6.0 is even tighter right behind the turbo. As in there is like no space between the the firewall and turbo for the downpipe. My suggestion is take it to a exhaust shop and let them put one on because once you start installing it your going to want to shoot yourself when it comes time to put the new downpipe on. However if you think you can get it on more power to you, aside from the downpipe the rest is cake. But lets see oh brands of exhaust. You have Banks ( mainly just a big name but you spend alot of money just for the name. There is AFE which is a good brand thats what I had on mine. and lastly I beleve BD makes a good exhaust.

My dad has a 99 f350 turbo diesel and runs flowmaster and a banks turbo... exhaust sounds great on it and it used to launch as fast as the benz!

We are under the impression that a better exhaust will improve gas mileage. Is this true?

im pretty fond of bullydog's exhaust systems. i have installed quite a few and all were relatively easy to put on ( 1.5-2.5 hours, that includes time shipping it) and sound nice. why mods do you have planned for it? as long as you dont go nuts a 4" will do you fine. good luck, and im expecting pics once you get something on there

EDIT: yes an exhaust will help you get better mileage, i'd look into an intake as well, then you can really hear the turbo spool

uhhh.... I am not sure about better mpg.... i think it prepares the truck for better mileage but not until you do more to it... His truck still gets like 12 mpg... dont expect anything more than a deep sound and if you do get good mpg then you can celebrate!
