Entered my first car show last night. It was a local show sponsored by Costly Obsessions Car club out of Waterbury CT. It was open to everyone but the predominant cars were imports. Over the top use of flourescent lighting and ICE. I was parked next to a 240z that had body kits out the *** and 8 video screens. Better stereo system than in my house! Very loud Latinomusic and lots of flashing lights! There were three other old school muscle cars there with the owners more my age and enthnicity. It was definitely an experience. Since the only "lights" on my Buick are the headlights andI have stock am/fm/cd , granted with 6 speaker concert sound, I was never in the running for any trophies! They only had First place for the 10 categories. Next time I'll bring a chair, ear-plugs and a spanish to english translator!

There was a sh!tload of totally riced out "ghetto cars" there. One dude had a S2000 claiming low 11's on the bottle. Another has a old S-10 on hydraulics that when he came into the show area , he was still moving forward and then dropped his ride to the ground HARD, making sparks and a serious thud. WOW, I was impressed with that! NOT!! There's another one tonight thatI may go to a little closer to home in Bristol, CT . Well at least I got to drive the GN on the interstate!

I'm a sucker for a black GN, I really do love them. Do tell me it's the turbo model!

As for the S2K, only way he's running 11s on the bottle is with a 150+ shot, lol.

GN only came turbocharged and intercooled in 86 and 87 . And GN only came in black. The T-Type, which some claim to be marginally faster stock (weight), came in like 8 colors although black was one of them so you could have a black T-type and itnot be a GN.

I feel embarrassed for that silver civic... the hood scoop, fog lights, chrome wheels, and wheel gap are what get me.

 

That 240 is pretty hideous looking. I wonder wat that guy was thinking.

 

Yeah, I know the GNs all came in black but that's definitely the only color that they should be. I know a guy with an 87 GN, 11.5s on a bad day lol.

It's a shame they only turbocharged them for two years, I guess the market just wasn't there for them.
