Nice! At my bank that'd easily be a 21-day hold.
In teller school they told us to look for that stuff, but I'll bet 'ya that the tiny print totally whizzed by the employee who was processing ATMs at the processing center. They've got a ton of stuff to go through and can't analyze everything. It's amazing what you can get away with by depositing your check Saturday afternoon (so it's in the middle of the pile).
Oops, did I say that?
Oh, the stories I have about those promo checks that people don't read the fine print on...

Oh, they'll come to me. I quit the bank almost a year ago and some of it's fuzzy now.
Those little $1-$3 checks that come in credit card promotions are scams. Read the back and if you cash it you're signing yourself up for something. Once a bunch of them were coming in and we would explain to the customers what they were, and all of them decided to not cash them. However, on a busy Friday afternoon and I had had enough. A 20-something bimbo yapping away on her cell phone slapped one down on my counter so I happy cashed it.
And, THE LINES WOULDN'T BE SO %&$(%&* LONG IF PEOPLE WOULD JUST FILL OUT THEIR $*#& DEPOSIT SLIPS!!! Ah, that felt good. I'm so glad I'm not a teller any more!
