my bosses Z06 went under the knife to get the stage 2 heads done. he had full P&P, titanium valves, springs, retainers, thin headgaskets. the works. then they dynoed it, and it showed 50hp less than it should have had. a quick compression test showed that one cylinder was at 0 compression. so he called Ligenfelter for a shortblock, and they would have taken too long, so he went through the people who built his heads, Car Tech, in NJ i believe. the motor should be here this weekend, but that sucks because he wanted it for this Friday at Thunderhill. but hes going to go to be an instructor, and i got the day off to go with him and i might get to take a ride in a new Viper with a few mods on it, or even possibly take a ride with the guy who holds the track record out there. i love the fringe benefits of my job.

No preference here but I do avoid the Chrysler products with the exception of early 70's. Gotta love those AMC's as well......Go Pacer!

enough with domestics. 90% of them really suck nowadays. I can't name a single good american car except for the few of the muscle cars. I thought that a Z-something camaro was good. Boy was I wrong. It's fast, but I haven't seen a car with so many transmission problems. I know a guy that has one, and I keep hearing about how often he needs a new clutch. It also has some more serious issues.

One thing that I have never understood about certain domestic drivers, is why they think the LS1 is Gods gift to the automotive world, thus the new sig.
