I'll be marrying into a domestic family from an import family someday. I came close to buying a 66 Dodge Charger for my first car, but decided parts would be a bitch to find. I love both domestics and imports, but I bought my imports for the gas milage (heh, that didn't last long).

My girlfriends garage
03 Ford Mustang GT (my girlfriends car)
79 Chevy Camaro Z28 (11.15@124, bring it)
00 Chevy Truck (giant *** crew cab for pulling the trailer of the aforementioned car)
04 Cadillac CTS (her moms car)
01 Ford Econoline (her dads work van)

My garage
01 Honda Civic (on jackstands)
02 Honda Accord (dads car)
99 Honda Accord (moms car)
And right now, my rental Taurus (I hate this thing with a passion)

. Domestics sound better though......I could only dream of my civic sounding like it had a 427, 454, or 460....
Civic is only one example of imports. You've just never heard a BMW V12 or V8 with remus exhaust. Civic is a 4banger and it sounds the same if not better than most domestic 4 bangers.

Or a 300ZX with dualies... or an RB26 at 7,500 rpm... I'll take that over any big block domestic.

indeed. I wonder how I never thought of that. 300ZX is one of my all time favorite import. I still dream about getting it. I would trade my BMW for that.

Let me rephrase myself: IN MY OPINION, domestics sound better than anything else.

There, that better?

Also, I work at a car dealership. I have heard almost anything(with the exception of the RB26), and I still like the sound of the old school, big block, domestic engines better. I have 3 friends that are past owners of 300zx's, and I also know that these do not sound anywhere near as good as my uncles '71 Nova , although they do sound awesome.

I would take the sound of my (future) father in-laws 79 Camaro over just about anything. When a car shakes the ground at idle, you know it's badass.
