check my sig.

and, andryuha, if muscle cars can sit in an abandoned barn for 10+ years, and be easily restored, they'll be the ones going twice as long.

whitch could go over 500K miles? ask youself that.

BUT, other than that, i agree with you, almost any amercian car from 1980+ is a pure peice of ****.

heh, the car has 120k miles on it and is bout to die..
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Just about any import can go at least twice as long
My v6 mustang has 160k and has not had any problems yet. Its even been in a wreck, and still no engine trouble. I know people who have had imports that needed things replaced after 60k.

meh, a V6 stang is slow as ball though. I raced my friend's auto V6 stang in my '92 Corolla and he slowly started to pull away. I could probably beat him in my 2.slo auto Jetta.

Its still made in America though, making it a domestic. Im eventually going to swap a 351 windsor into it. But yea, it is slow as *****... Its automatic + convertable, and the mustangs didnt get a hp boost untill 99, so that was one of the worst years ever for the mustang. Still.... most chicks know nothing other than "WOW CONVERTABLE MUSTANG!!!1!1!!!2" so you could say it served its purpose =D. Nywayz the topic is about your fav types of domestics, not what is better than the other =). Back on topic, I wonder what chevy is planning to build in 2007-8. I havnt done reasearch, but from what I have heard they are making something in the F-body line. Oh, and who hates the new 4-door charger? *raises hand*

Hey, here's one for ya to eat: I used to drive a 1989 Ford Econoline. At 260,000 miles I had to get the engine replaced, but guess what? The tranny didn't have to be replaced until 300,000 miles! It was a 5.0 V8 truck engine, and it had the 4-speed automatic tranny w/overdrive. But one of my friends lost the tranny in his Ford truck at 130,000 miles.

On the other hand, my friend's V6 slomaro cracked it's block and blew a head gasket at 65,000 miles, and he never drove it hard or anything. But my other friend's corvette completely kicks butt(well....what do you expect with a 427 lingenfelter).

I think that with domestics, it's random...like some have problems, others don't, while with imports, very few have problems, and when they do, there is usually a recall. Domestics sound better though......I could only dream of my civic sounding like it had a 427, 454, or 460....
