Dodge Grand Caravan engine questions

RE: Dodge Grand Caravan engine questions
I honestly have no idea if dad had a compression test done. I'm working with secondhand info from him. I know he has taken it to a shop and they somehow determined that it was losing coolant through the engine. Their ideas were a cracked head or a worn seal.
I really wish we could sell this van. It has been sitting for months and months with a for sale sign on it. We're honest with its problems, so no one wants to deal with it, despite all of the custom extras included.

RE: Dodge Grand Caravan engine questions
in all honesty it's at the end of it's life, no matter how you put it. They rarely live past 160K... if it's not the engine and tranny than it's the ECU, TCM, rotting wiring, suspension parts starting to go bad...at this point it's going to be a money pit. I went through 5 transmissions, 3 head rebuilds, and 2 suspensions...at one point it became not worth the trouble as much as I loved the van.
