the AWD option is priceyand for some people it just isnt needed...also, from a performance standpoint, it provides more drivetrain loss...

The AWD costs something like 1500-3000. I figure if ur gonna spend around 30k for a 300C, the extra 3k might not be a problem. Isn't the drivetrain loss only a problem while drag racing? I thought that for other types of racing the car will get superior traction.

no...AWD also causes worse fuel mileage...if youre going 50 mph steadily with a RWD vehicle, the engine is doing a given amount of work to turn the trans/driveshaft/rear diff...and with awd, it is also adding in the stress on the engine of having to turn the transfer case, and front differential....so it takes more effort to go the same speed, thus "eating" some power to the wheels, as well as decreasing economy..i think that honestly, the economy issue is bigger for most 300 buyers than is the added loss

I toyed with two at a vehicle survey event and hated them. Pretty much all the Chryslers are crap on the inside. I was in a Magnum on Saturday and I think I've only ever seen more plastic in Beverly Hills...

i had a magnum for a rental for a week or so...and the interior, i thought, was pretty nice..everything is plastic anymore...my car has surprisingly little plastic with alot of 'leather', but for the sake of arguement, what is the interior of a civic made out of?

The Challenger looks a bit like the newer Mustangs, but I like em less than the Mustangs. Ive got a bad Dodge taste in my mouth, but meh, theyll probably grow on me.

I expect there to be plastic in a civic, its an entry level car. In a more expensive car, i would expect a better material for the trim. I've never driven a Magnum so i don't really know so i'm not gonna comment on the car.
