it was...
and allforsrt, here in jax we have to have a bach degree in whatever before we can be a true jso cop, so i am going to get on with something called the civil service officer thing, until i start and finish my degree...the pay isnt bad with the cso, you get a 34k salary for being a traffic cop, and you get jso pension, so i am all for that...also i will be living at home while i go to college, so even better, more money to just blow...yeah i to have always wanted be a cop, but i have wanted to be more into investigations and stuff, and helping people that way....thats why i want to get into homicide investi...
Yah I have my associates right now, I have been taking online/night courses to build my credits up. When I got hired initially it was as a part timer because I didnt have all the necessary pre req's. I did take the Civil Service Exam, and waited a total of 2 days to get hired lol

Our County Sheriff happens to be a frequent patron of a bar I worked at in high school. He told me If i really wanted to pursue a career in LE, then call him when I turned 19. So i did, and he put me on part time. Doing details and other work most would consider "tedious" I took it as the biggest oppritunity I could possibly get. I went to school, earned my associates (working on bachleors right now) and became a full time officer.

you want to be in homicide? Good for you. Being a cop for me was always about busting doors down and catching the bad guys in the act. I admire homicide a lot. However Im on the Undercover Task Force (youngest member by 8 years) and the thrill you get from executing a no-knock is pure adrenaline.
