Build your own, or pay someone like me to do it for you. It'll work out much better in the end. Dell and others of the like cheap out on VERY important parts, like the power supply to name the biggest one. It'll cost more upfront but less hassle in the end.

 

you could get a base model computer from a gaming company. they all know what theyre doing and even good starts like an Athalon 64 X2 dual-core CPU computer will start at 650 or something like that.

www.cyberpowerinc.com is good. theyre cheap for the stuff too. my friend was goign to get a computer from alienware. i pointed him to cyberpower and he got the exact same computer for half the price...possibly less than.

my only complaint is their motherboard selection. it kinda sucks and its very...not diverse

 

i have always built my own PC, and always will as long as i am using PC's, the only reason i would buy a make is for recreational, or business purposes, since i am an avid gamer then i will keep my PC.. but i would still like to own a Mac

 

what games do you play?

its getting to the point where its probably cheaper to order an entire computer than buying the parts and building it yourself.

 

well on PC i usually play FPS, and RTS games, those are my premaries the only exceptions that i have are GTA3, and Vice City. i use my Xbox for all my driving and racing games

 

rock on with the FPS. what games? i usually play Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six 3...but i havnt played in almost a year now cuz my motherboard on my gaming computer got friend and the computer is way out of date now anyways so img getting a new one. the only thing im keeping is the power supply.

 

i usually play Call of Duty, MOH, and Half Life 2( i absolutely love that game) i want to get Call of Duty 2... but funding is really low right now[:'(]

 

oh yeah. cant forget MOHAA. i used to play that a ton too...and call of duty (but not as much as CS or MOHAA).

oo. you know what i just remembered that i used to play a TON when i was really young? Command and Conquer. i played Tibirium Sun and the original the most.

 

i played CNC Red Alert the most, then i found Homeworld(where i got my name from) and by god... BEST RTS EVER!!!!! i am still waiting for the Homeworld2 Mod that turns it into the original... better graphics and sound, the only time i play CS is when i go to a LAN party... yeah that is right i am a geek. but it is a good game i must admit
