For the best deals I've EVER SEEN go to www.slickdeals.net
Go the the right side column titled "Hot Topics" Click on "Hot Topics"
Then on the right of that page click on "Search this Forum"
Search for "dell inspiron"
You'll get results for the best deals on inspirons. IMO dell inspirons have the best deals while still having the good upgrades. The site updates all the time, so keep checking back on it!

Just don't get e-machines and do not get the celeron processor. Out of the ones you've posted, I like the 3rd one the most. Also, you should consider building a pc yourself. It's extremely easy. Just go to newegg and add some parts to the wishlist to calculate the price. Don't get celeron or athlon (939 chipset I believe. They aren't bad, but are obsolete). Also be sure to get no less then 1gig of ram.
PS. I can help you pick out the right parts, if you can give me your budget. If you don't feel like building a pc yourself - the best option would be Dell (you can't beat their price and it's probably the best pre-built pc out there, as far as bang for the buck factor goes)

No, under 600 is fully reasonable for a memory/online rig. Hell, you could bild one for less then that, anyway there are lots of rigs with high GB hard drives and fast CPU's, thats all you really need for what you said.
