Alright, I've had my civic for about a month now. I just want to know the best way to make it a bit faster! Could someone please list the possibilities and let me know how and where I can get it done! not interested in a turbo, keep that for when I buy an EK9!

My civic is a silver 3dr hatchback,1.5ils Vtec SOHC, 1998, 60,000 miles. I love it! Got hyperblack17" Kei RSS's on it, lowered 50mm, front upper and rear lower strut brace and an AEM induction kit.

Well if your not interested in a turbo then the only other ways to add big HP is to get a supercharger or swap your motor. Turbo is the way to go but since you dont want to do that then I would suggest a swap. You already have an intake, so get a cat back exhaust and a header next if you want just a little more power.

 

Nice one, cheers for the advice mate! I've already ordered a full HKS exhaust system, an HKS 4branch manifold and a HKS intake manifold so hopefully that'l give a wee bit more BHP.Would a superchip or a power boost valve have any significant effect to the BHP, etc?

I dont want to sound stupid here but what is a header?

A swap would be an option but insurance would kill me! Am just gna keep this for a couple of years, build up ma no-claims and try and get a nice import EK9.

Do you drive the black del sol? They are beauties like! Wat BHP is yours? Del Sol's are 1.6 Vtec Vti's arent they?
