RE: check it out everyone....
depends on what you want out of the car when you are done with it
if you want a quick street car with good manners then turbo your D16,if your looking for anything faster than say 13 second 1/4 mile swap a JDM B16A into your car and turbo it

That's not strictly cut-dry. You can build a mean sub-13 second D16 for less than a 13 second B16. If you want power (turbo), but want to have some money left over, I would look into doing a head swap (what year is your car?). For turbo applications, and depending on how much you want to spend, looking into a GSR motor would be worth your while. A boosted B16 won't do you any good unless you live your life on the track.

For JDM motors, check out Nippon Motors or Sunrise JDM

But if you're planning on staying away from forced induction and either mildly tuning or going all-motor, a B16 wouldn't be a bad idea. The engine requires a change in driving style, but once you get used to it, it's tons of fun. A GSR-powered Civic would stomp it all day and night (assuming similar builds), but it'll also run you significantly more money. If you want a streetable daily driver and you want to go turbo, the GSR engine is the one for you (in case you need it, the engine code you're looking for is B18C or B18C1).
