Not being mean but it sounds to me that you need to move to a different car because it takes a passion of labor and the love of modding to see what a civic is able to be.

And the whole engine swap thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why go through the trouble and cost of swapping, when you could just buy a car that came with a strong motor in the first place?
for the record, i pull over half a second faster than the integras equipped with a similar engine. without modding the motor yet.

I don't know man. You're giving up way too fast. There's lots of stuff you can do with a stock engine. I saw some dude at the track with a d-series engine that ran low 13s. Needless to say, his motor was built and he was boostin'. I asked him how much money it took him to get there and he said, close to $5000 - he did the work himself and he claimed that it was the first time he ever opened up the engine. So you're saying you want to get a faster car? Let me tell tou, it's never enough. I went from a 100hp corolla to 200hp BMW, and although it's a great improvement, it's never enough. With more sophisticated engines, there's actually less things that you could do. Full exhaust and CAI barely does anything for my car. The only few mods, short of FI are chip, rear end, and cams. On a civic, a cai and exhaust actually produces decent gains. Also, what are you planning to do with the car? If you're looking to build a high hp and poor handling drag monster, it seems that you would be better off buying some old domestic POS, perhaps a stang. They're dirt cheap to build, compared to import cars and will do great in a straight line. Civic feels like a go-kart, so I'm pretty sure that it's awesome on the autoX course - something else to think about

Ha, are you kidding? The 90 Integra was way ahead of its time, and infinitely more appealing and sexy than any Civic ever built. That's a FACT. Especially the interior. See for yourself, this is a 95 interior but it's almost identical to my 90 'teg interior. The Integra pwns j00, and me.

Anyways, I had a blast with my Civic in the snow today and had a change of heart. It's a fun car, and I'm gonna continute modding it out.

They came out with a new generation of Tegs?

I'll agree with you that the interior is awesome on those tegs. The exterior is a diffrent story. It looks terrible. EG civics look much better.
