For those who think there are still domestic made vehicles...there are none. The American manufacturers use as many foreign parts as so-called foreign vehicles do. Some foreign makes manufactured in the USA are more domestic than US makes, ( more US parts ). Some so-called domestics have never been US made,IE Ford crown vic, Mercury Marquis, All Canadian made. They were not allowed in the American auto shows. Chevy avalanche and chrysler pt cruiser are made in Mexico. It's almost to the point that US makes are foreign vehicles and foreign vehicles are US made. They are all homogenized from parts all over the world. In order to be classified as a domestic vehicle it must have 75 percent american made parts. All foreign owned companys manufacturing in this country now qualify as domestics. There is no argument,it's a moot point.

personally, i think the '06 civics feel as cheap as a saturn on the inside now. i'm not a fan of chevy...i'd have to go ford if i ever decide to go domestic.

Well as far as Truck/SUV, Jeep, hands down, I've owned Jeeps since I've been driving and I can garuntee that I will own a Jeep until I can no longer drive. As for compact cars, I don't know if I would ever buy a domestic compact (well maybe that new Saturn Skyy), and like above gotta give credit to the Corvette.

I'll take the new Saleen S281 Extreme any day over any other domestic sports car. That thing is just sick. I'm pretty sure it's a SOHC V-8...550 or so horse I think? I dunno you do the math.
There's a Saleen dealer right by my house so I might have to go check it out again soon!

I honestly do not like domestics anymore. i used to drive a ford and it sucked. it was great on gas but ****ty on performance. plus the parts were all ****ed up. i owned a ford car. it had a ford block and head, a mitsubishi intake manifold and a mitsubishi distributor. it was a bitch to find parts for at times. i kicked it a couple of times. Now that i have gotten into the import scene i honestly do not think i'll ever go back. probably for a long time.
