Awesome, those flip top lights are the bomb. My old Accord had them too, it's a classic look. Is that an '88 or around there?

85. i want to get the "sleepy eyes" for it, but i can only find janky ones. i want the nice ones that replace the lights with low profile ones, and they just stay up a little bit.

oh its an SR-5 too, so the suspension is like JELLO. and its 20 years old, so the clutch is toast, the bushings are shot, the shifter wobbles too much, the horn is missing, the seats are ripped, the paint is bad, the trim (was) turning grey, its running too rich, the O2 sensor was bad, the tires are shot, its missing a hubcap, the radio is thrashed, the hot/cold selector doesnt select, the battery doesnt have a tie-down (and already almost leaked from rubbing on my alternator), all of the wiring is old and cracked, one door lock is falling off, the hatch only opens with the lever, not the key, and it only opens with two stages with the lever (pull lever, lift hatch, pull lever again, lift hatch to open), it kinda smells like cigarettes, one headlight is dimmer than the other (not much, but i notice it), the brakes squeak, one tail light is cracked, the seatbelt doesnt pull back very well, it only came with one key (and the key maker doesnt take plastic, only cash, which i didnt have on me[:@]), the carpet is ragged, the dash is BADLY cracked, the power mirrors dont work all the time, its missing a clock(i think), the tranny makes a lot of noise, the gas mileage isnt too good, one tire leaks, it has NO power, its carburated, and it doesnt have any cupholders. im sure i could point out a few other things, but i think that gives you an idea of the work i have ahead of me. i cant wait to get a garage so i can just pull it in and strip it down to a shell, then rebuild it the way Toyota should have.

but all that aside, i still love driving it. it needs an LSD, bushings, a new clutch (on order), new brakes, tires, a little more power, and maybe some GTS springs. but i love driving it, the shifter falls right into the gear you want, and even though the body rolls like a top-heavy boat, it handles surprisingly well, even with REALLY crappy tires. and i never understood how people on the drifting movies made heel and toe look so easy. i can do it on the civic, but its almost second nature on this thing. im going to have to move my gas pedal over closer to the brake pedal in the civic when i go back to driving it.

plans are too far out as to actually be called plans, so i guess its more of "ideas' for it. but as of now, they are pretty secret, but i am pretty sure i want to convert the suspension to GTS stuff, along with the whole rearend. then i can drive it the way it was meant to be driven, and slowly upgrade other parts from the GTS ones as i go and improve as a driver. but the clutch, tires/wheels, brakes, bushings, seats, and a steering wheel with a freakin horn button are first up.
