RE: beer enthusiasts?
I got bored (and slightly drunk) so I started mixing my own drinks, and I came up with (after 3 Guiness' and various mixed stuff...):
1. 2:1 Guiness to Bailey's Irish Cream
2. 3 shots Bailey's...Then I get creative....
3. Grey Goose / Rasberry Pucker
4. Kahlua / Guiness
5. Starbucks Coffee Liqueur / S.B. Cream Liqueur / Guiness
6. 3 shots Irish Cream = Very Good!!!
7. Grey Goose / Pineapple Rum = Very Bad!!
Just some of those tiny bottles laying around that didn't get drank...again, I was curious and bored....Try them, see if anyone likes them...If not sorry...I was bored and delerious, so I'm not at fault!

guiness man myself...oberon is quite good, and if you're considering belgians, oberon is a good warm up...belgian beers ofter have a citrus flavored head and a bitter aftertaste.
Patrick---german beer is uber-rich in variety and most of them are up your alley in terms of taste. Try the heavy weissens, they are the riches in hops, in some you can SEE the taste before you lift the glass. Just about every other town has its own brewery, so the sampling is endless. If your serious about being a coneseur, order some up.

I'm kind of partial to Alaskan Pale Ale and Asahi when I'm overseas. But when I'm CONUS I usually stick with Bud Light. I have come to enjoy Bud Select if you haven't tried it I highly recommend it. Killian's Irish Red is a favorite of mine during dinner.
My wife has gotten me to steer clear of the beer recently. She has been getting a wide assortment of wine. She got pissed when I bought one of those wine in box things and took out the baggy of wine and tacked it to the wall. Anytime anyone needed to be topped off they just went to the wall.
